CASS COUNTY, N.D. (August 18, 2014) – Just after midnight, Sgt. Tom Morris of the Fargo Police Department was conducting extra patrol at the Cass County Courthouse at the request of the Cass County Sheriff's Office due to recent incidents of vandalism to the front doors of the Cass County Courthouse.
As Sgt. Morris approached he observed a male in the process of vandalizing the temporary repair of the doors. Sgt. Morris apprehended the individual and upon conducting an interview of the suspect, he was able to determine this was the individual believed to be responsible for the previous vandalisms.
CHRISTOPHER WAGAR, DOB 10/11/85, was arrested for Criminal Mischief and transported to the Cass County Jail.
Sheriff Laney stated, "I commend Sgt. Morris for his diligence and his assistance in capturing and arresting Wagar. It demonstrates the true cooperative efforts between our agencies as we fulfill our mission of protecting the public."
