To have a wedding performed by the Cass County Treasurer's office, you have two options:
The first option is to schedule a solemnization of the marriage. In this instance, the Cass County Treasurer or a Deputy Treasurer will perform the ceremony which lasts approximately 3 to 5 minutes. This is not a full wedding ceremony. This type of wedding is performed at the Cass County Courthouse. A solemnization of the marriage can be scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. The cost of the wedding is $30.00. If you want a solemnization of the marriage, you must call the Cass County Treasurer's office to schedule the wedding.

You must bring two witnesses with you on the day of the wedding.

You should arrive at the Treasurer's office, which is located on the main floor of the courthouse, 15 minutes prior to your scheduled wedding ceremony to have the Marriage License completed and pay the $30.00 fee.

You may bring up to 20 immediate family members or friends to this ceremony.

The second option for residents and non-residents of Cass County is to select a site of your choice and the Cass County Treasurer or a Deputy Treasurer will perform the ceremony. The cost for an off-site ceremony will be a $150.00. If our services are needed at the rehearsal, there will be an additional fee of $50.00. Please call and book the place and time of ceremony at least one month in advance. |
